FAQs
What reformer class should I start with?
If you are a beginner, have never exercised, are injured, or this is your first class, Foundations class is a great place to start. If you are comfortable with exercise, and just want to try something new, start with Strength & Sculpt. Also a great place to start for first timers, who are comfortable with exercise. If you are an experienced exerciser, you can start with Reformer Burn, however, keep in mind, you must arrive 10 mins early to learn the machine. It is a whole language in itself. Reformer Burn is also great for those who want a good challenge and feel comfortable moving at a quicker pace.
Are the classes beginner friendly?
Foundations and Strength & Sculpt are our most beginner friendly classes. We move at a slower pace in these classes, which makes it easier for brand new-to-Pilates people to get a hang of the machine and the language.
What does it mean if I’m on the waitlist?
If you added yourself to the waitlist, it means you are next in line if someone cancels and a spot opens up in that class. If this happens, you will be notified by email or text (whichever means of contact you clicked on when you signed up). You are not responsible for your class pass unless you get into class, however, we do ask if you waitlist yourself, to please keep an eye on your email especially around 12 hours before class to see if you got in or if you want to pass it up to the next person. If you do receive the email that you got into class, you can confirm the booking or cancel it.
If you don't get into class, your pass will be added back onto your account (this could take up to 24 hours).
I'm pregnant, now what?
Well, congrats!!!!! We love working with prenatal clients, however, to ensure that you are ready for exercise, we ask that you book a Private lesson to see what your changing body is capable of before coming to class. This is especially important if you are new to Pilates. To book a private lesson, please click here to contact us. If you have been coming to our classes for a long time, are comfortable with the machine, and feel good, please just let your instructor know before class, and always listen to your body, of course.
Reformer Burn and Jumpboard are not recommended for our Prenatal clients.
